Dear Friend,

While there are many tour programs to the Canadian Rockies, Train Holidays is pleased to offer a leisurely program that offers up a FULL WEEK in the Rockies along with comprehensive (and included) sightseeing along with two great train rides, one aboard the famous Empire Builder to stunning Glacier National Park and one aboard the acclaimed Rocky Mountaineer, offering a daylight passage through the Canadian Rockies, all in one magical holiday. Nicer still, not only do we provide complete sightseeing in the Canadian Rockies but a full day in spectacular Glacier National Park, Montana, including the famous 'Going to the Sun' Highway.

This special holiday allows you to spend most of your time in the Rockies, rather than getting there, and in Banff allows the great comfort of a three-night hotel stay, with time to relax, settle and enjoy this stunning mountain setting followed by a two-night stay in picturesque Jasper. Few tours offer this much time in the Rockies and not having to change hotel rooms frequently makes this holiday far better than most. This program offers superb value, in that two of the most famous trains in North America are included along with breakfast daily, huge amounts of (included) sightseeing in Glacier National Park, the Canadian Rockies and even in Vancouver. In fact, this program, with comfortable and relaxing train travel is less costly than many programs that are entirely by bus!  There is only one potential glitch with this classic train journey to the Canadian Rockies: It will sell out quickly so prompt reservations are encouraged to avoid disappointment.

While many Canadian Rockies programs include endless days of bus travel, our guests travel in comfort aboard two of North America's most famous trains, all in one holiday. We begin on the famous EMPIRE BUILDER, traveling over the former Great Northern Railroad. This train offers comfortable reclining coach seats with plenty of room, a glass-roofed Observation Lounge car and magnificent views. Our other segment of travel is aboard the acclaimed ROCKY MOUNTAINEER, often described as 'The Most Spectacular Train Trip in the World' between the Canadian Rockies and Vancouver. The Rocky Mountaineer travels only in daylight so you will not miss a single thing. Guests enjoy reclining seats with good legroom, picture windows, at-seat meal service and superb commentary of the passing sights. Complimentary snacks, tea, coffee and soft drinks are available throughout the trip as well. There is no finer way to see the Canadian Rockies than on this great daylight adventure.
